Perfectly thought-out is the long-cone sharpener "masterpiece" by KUM. Wood and lead are sharpened in two separate steps. The sliding stopper allows you to expose the lead. "Masterpiece" is packed in a plastic case and additionally in a neoprene bag. Included are 2 spare blades. The sharpener itself is made of magnesium. In order to achieve a perfect sharpening result, extreme and very accurate tolerances must be observed. Magnesium is the ideal material to make a pencil sharpener with the highest precision. As the only manufacturer in the world, KUM equips its sharpeners with curved knives. This has the advantage that the knife edges are under constant tension, due to pressure when sharpening, it can not be raised and thus a tearing of the pen tip can be ruled out.
