CHANEL SET OF 4 RARE ANDY WARHOL “No5 CHANEL” PERFUME BOTTLE POST CARDS - ART BY ANDY WARHOL - COLORS: “ROYAL BLUE and YELLOW” + “HUNTER GREEN and SKY BLUE” + “PURPLE and GRAY” - NEW, NEVER USED, FROM ORIGINAL AD CAMPAIGN, 1997
This vintage set of 4 CHANEL “No5 CHANEL” PERFUME BOTTLE POST CARDS depict the famous and iconic CHANEL No5 bottle, from artwork by Andy Warhol. These printed post cards consist of different color-ways, with rich colors that vignette down into a lighter colors. The original was silk screened artwork by Andy Warhol, who produced a series of this art in various color-ways. CHANEL was granted permission by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts/Artists Rights Society to reproduce this artwork. These post cards were part of a CHANEL No5 advertising campaign, and were printed in 1997. Three of these postcards have a “Scent Seal” fragrance patch sampling label attached, while one does not. I am the original owner of these “No5 CHANEL” PERFUME BOTTLE post cards, which were received from a CHANEL employee at the time of the ad campaign launch. They have been stored in a climate controlled and darkened interior room. These post cards were printed in the United States. They are quite suitable for framing.

There is a legal copyright line on the reverse of each, which reads: “Copyright mark, 1997, CHANEL, Inc. Copyright mark, 1997 Andy Warhol Foundation. In addition, there is information and a logo for a “max racks” distributor on two of these postcards. Please see photographs.
In excellent New mint condition, as they have been kept stored in a climate controlled and darkened interior room. New, and Never used or tested. It appears that one was meant to have a small attached sample on the back, but this was never attached.
